Congleton deserves a fresh start after 14 years of Conservative chaos. Rising bills, the cost of living, record NHS waiting lists, public services on their knees and sewage in our waterways – we deserve better than this.
We deserve an MP who will stand up for all our communities and be Congleton’s voice in Westminster, not Westminster’s voice here.
With the strength of feeling that this country desperately needs change, it looks like we could be heading towards a massive political change with the opportunity of a life-time to elect the first Labour MP here in Congleton.
I’m standing to be your next Labour Parliamentary Candidate and first Labour MP for Congleton because I believe we need a strong local candidate who can take the fight to the Conservatives and win. I have lived in the constituency my whole life and I have a strong campaigning record and a record of delivery as a local councillor.
With your support, I believe we can win here and build a better future for all the communities of the Congleton Constituency.
My Story
Congleton is my home, where I have lived my whole life. My hometown is Alsager and I was a Congleton Town resident for 16 years, being educated at local Congleton schools – Daven Primary & Congleton High.
I come from a single parent working class background, growing up under the last Labour Government. I remember the difficult choices my family had to make in the beginning but also the opportunities that came from having a Labour Government delivering Labour values. I wouldn’t be where I am today without our Party and that Government. Being one of the millions of children lifted out of poverty under the last Labour government, I am committed to public service and ensuring that the next generation gets the same opportunities I had and more.
I am proud to serve as a local Town Councillor in my hometown of Alsager, where I have also served as the Chair of the Town Council and been involved with numerous community groups and campaigns.
I’m also proud to be the Secretary of Pride In Alsager – helping to spread acceptance and create a safe space for LGBT+ people in the constituency of one of the most anti-gay MPs in Parliament.

Why I’m the best choice for candidate in Congleton.
I’m the local choice – I’ve lived here all my life and I’m a part of the communities in which I am standing to serve. We need a longstanding local candidate to win the trust of voters and stand the best chance in the next General Election.
I’m an experienced campaigner – I joined fellow members on the doorsteps as soon as I joined the party at 18. I’ve been involved in multiple elections, from local council elections to parliamentary by-elections, and I played a role in the last two General Elections here in Congleton.
I know what it takes to win – I’ve raised the success of Labour in my hometown of Alsager, taking us from having no presence in the town to achieving our best results in decades so far. I planned the campaign for the 2019 local elections and I planned and ran the campaign in the 2023 local elections where we saw the first Labour Borough Councillor elected in Alsager for 50 years. I also know what we need to do to get election ready and have a plan to win – as the Constituency Party’s Campaign Coordinator I’m already implementing that plan and setting our campaign strategy.
I have a strong record of delivery – I’m an experienced local councillor who has worked to deliver for my ward and town. From delivering life-saving traffic lights on a dangerous junction to successfully restoring EMR services at Alsager Railway Station. I’ve also worked on constituency issues – the first campaign I worked on was saving our local Children’s Centres.
I can take on Fiona Bruce & the Conservatives – I have worked frequently hold Congleton’s Conservative MP to account, on local & national issues, and on her dreadful record. I have been one of the most vocal critics of Fiona Bruce from our Party since the last General Election.
